the best chicken rice ever i've ever had!! chicken is well marinated and rice is a perfect match with soup. Cant ask for more, this is a must try!

I've done single plate purchases as well as large party tray bundles. Each time, the food has been fantastic. Friendly service, correct orders, no issues and delicious food. I've only done pick up so can't comment on dining in. Easy parking and plenty.

Love, love, love their chicken rice here! My husband grew up in Singapore and Chicken Meets Rice has his stamp of approval. This is officially our permanent go-to spot for chicken rice. We always order the Hainan chicken: dark meat with skin. For sauce, I get the Singapore Soy and the Ginger Scallion. My husband also likes the Singapore Chili sauce. The chicken is consistently juicy and their rice is perfectly flavourful. Expect to wait 15ish minutes for your food to be ready as it seems like they prepare it fresh to-order. At $15, the price is very reasonable for the Bay Area and the portion size does not disappoint. We've been to both this location and the Cupertino location, and the quality and experience at both has been 5/5.

Food was 10/10! It was my first time trying this place and I gotta say, very good first impression! Both of the grilled and fried chicken were not dry at all. The chicken rice was nice and flavorful and the pickled carrots were not strong of a vinegar taste. For the sauces, I had the Thai Ginger Soy and the Ginger Scallion Oil. I prefer the oil more because the scallions had a nice hint of salt. I didn't really get to experience the service because I ordered for pick up, but we were welcomed when we arrived!

I've ordered from Chicken Meets Rice multiple times before, and every experience has been a delight! This time, I decided to try their chicken box with grilled chicken, Hainan chicken dark meat (without skin), and fried chicken. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The grilled chicken was, as always, incredibly flavorful and juicy. It's like they're using some kind of secret Indian spice blend that just makes my taste buds do the happy dance. But the real MVP (most valuable player) is the chicken broth. Oh, the broth! I've had it multiple times before, and it never fails to impress. It's like a warm hug in a bowl, made fresh just for me. I could drink it by the gallon! I know some people might think, "Broth? Really? That's the best part?" But trust me, this broth is special. It's like liquid gold, infused with all the goodness of the chicken and a hint of magic. For sauces, I highly recommend the scallion oil and ginger. Both are delicious! Needless to say, I'll be back for more. I've already ordered multiple times, and I'll keep coming back for that broth and those delicious chicken options. Came here on my lunch break and I have to say this place surprised me with a rush of flavor and taste! Such an amazing staff, everyone had such a positive attitude when I walked in! What I ordered: Hainese chicken and fried chicken combo (5/5): Not sure what to order? Stuck between hainese chicken and fried chicken? Well your prayers have been answered because they offer their special combo deal where you could get both! Make sure you get this with their chicken rice and scallion sauce because this is what hits home! The steamed chicken was season perfectly, you can also customize your chicken if you want skin or no skin which is nice for some folks who prefer it off. It also comes with a savory and delicious broth too. It also comes with cilantro and cucumber so you have a balance of veggies with your meal. One suggestion is that for $17 I was hoping for more fried chicken but overall an amazing meal. I think in terms of flavor wise, I prefer this over rooster and rice any day. Unlike them, they don't have the option for grilled chicken and the choices of adding other vegetable substitutions. Will definitely be coming back soon!

This used to be one of my favorite lunch spot but recently every time I've ordered delivery it's been subpar with a much smaller portion of chicken and during my last order, I ordered grilled chicken but ended up getting fried chicken. I double checked the order on the container and it stated grilled but wasn't filled probably. It's still a 4 star if you eat-in but I definitely wouldn't order delivery again as I've had very mixed experiences.

I wish I lived closer, so I could have this for lunch every single day! Such a comforting and light meal! They really know how to do Hainan Chicken well. The chicken is lean, yet so juicy and tender. Their rice is perfectly seasoned and compliments the protein super well. The best part is that there are so many amazingly fun dipping sauces to choose from! My personal favorites are the Thai Ginger Soy and Sweet Chili. Every box also comes with a small side of veggies for a touch of greenery. I really appreciate how everything is rather customizable. As far as chicken goes, you can choose your preferred cut (dark or white meat) and whether or not you want skin (I'm pro-skinless). All-in-all, such a convenient and well-balanced meal that will leave you feeling sated and ready to trek on with your day!
